Meet Chris

Hi, I’m Chris Falson. I’m an Australian-born musician now based in Los Angeles, and I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by music. My father was a jazz musician and orchestrator who worked with legends like Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr., and my mother was a singer, dancer, and radio DJ. Music was the family business, so it’s no surprise I found myself in recording studios from the time I was ten years old.

I started working as a full-time professional musician at 18, touring and recording with both local and international artists. From the outside, my career seemed to be growing well—but deep down, something was missing. I had a burning desire to become a songwriter and music producer, and it wasn’t until I enrolled at the School of Creative Arts (SCA) at 27 that those hopes truly began to come alive.

It may sound like a cliché, but that one year at SCA genuinely changed my life.

There I discovered something that would shape everything that followed: talent alone is never enough. I learned the importance of process—not just in songwriting and production, but also in coaching, leadership, discipline, and building teams made up of people with different strengths and skill levels.

It was through mentoring relationships—particularly with people like Nigel Compton, head of SCA—that I began to move from being merely a talented musician to becoming a skilled craftsman. I learned that raw talent becomes something powerful when it is refined, developed, and put to work with purpose.

That season of learning laid the foundation for the career that followed.

Since then, I’ve toured internationally, worked as a session guitarist and songwriter, produced albums, and had songs recorded and performed around the world. Some of my work has found its way onto radio, television, film, and stadium events. I’ve also had the privilege of collaborating with remarkable artists, musicians, and creative teams along the way.

But what excites me most today is helping others grow.

Through The Songwriter Workshop, I teach songwriters, musicians, worship leaders, producers, and creative teams how to strengthen their craft, discover their voice, and develop the skills needed not only to create great work—but also to help others grow alongside them.

My courses draw from decades of experience in the music and film industries, along with years serving and building teams within the local church. Whether we are talking about songwriting, production, worship leadership, team building, or creativity itself, my passion is helping people move from raw potential to practiced skill..
